Virtual reality you can smell

Over the years, plenty of different companies have attempted giving a more virtual reality to gaming and movie watching. A new device that has been invented is called the Oculus rift which is goggles with a game inside. When you move your head, the game moves as well.
What if you can have that, but also smell and touch?  Feelreal is experimenting with this very idea. For a mere 249 dollars, you can receive a mask including micro coolers to simulate wind, and heaters to simulate warmth. Water misters and even odor generators.
The device comes with several different smells such as jungle, burning rubber, fire, and gunpowder.

Video games do help sometimes

Studies show that playing video games cooperatively helps people with making more helpful decisions with people. It makes sense when you think about it. Two people or more playing a game, working towards one goal? It makes you feel like it's normal to help people. During our present day, being helpful can sometimes be looked down upon.
Kids will spend hours on these video games almost daily. If they are exposed to this thinking that often of course it will get stuck in their brains that it's good to help others. Whether the game is violent or non violent doesn't matter. It all sends the same message.
Next time you say video games are a complete waste of time, remember this... Video games actually promote healthy thinking.

Solar Roads?????

Tired of rubbish, cracked, pot hole filled roads? Tired of feeling terrible for burning fossil fuels to power your homes? What if there was an invention that could fix all of that? Solar roads!
Imagine all of the things solar roads would fix. Our need for generating electricity by burning fossil fuels will be cut dramatically. The solar panels inside of the roads harness the energy present in the sun. They have lights built in that can be programmed to display road lines and other things drivers need to know. No more worrying about the abundance of snow in the northern region of America. The tiles can be heated which melts the snow that lands on it. This makes driving much safer, and cheaper for the government because no salt or plows would be needed. basketball courts and things like that can be made of these solar roads. You can program it to be whatever kind of court you want. If you want to play foursquare you can put that on the roads.
The material these roads are made of are highly durable. Less needs of repair and road closings due to construction. Currently these roads are still in development. This can be something completely revolutionary that changes the very way us humans live.

Bat traffic

We as humans tend to obey traffic laws when we are transporting from one place to the next to prevent from crashing and injury. What if I told you that bats do the same thing? According to the university of bristol, bats have their own way of chasing, turning, and avoiding collisions at high speed.

First of all, bats are blind at night and rely on getting around by sending out high pitch sounds and listen for the response by echo.
"the results indicated that bats obey their own intriguing set of 'traffic rules': they chase each other, perform tandem turns and even slow down to avoid collision."
When there is a bat close enough for the bio-sonar to read it, the bat following the other bat will adapt and follow what the leading bat is doing. This is kinda similar to human cars on a street; usually when you're behind someone in a car, you tend to go the same speed. It's fascinating to know how similar other animals are connected to others.

How Often should One Blink

Often times, people don't blink far enough than what they should. There can be several reasons for this. One reason is because our culture makes it seem like blinking frequently is wrong. For example, actors are taught to blink as little as possible. It has just been accepted to not blink every four seconds. This is incorrect.

As a human, one must blink in order to lubricate your eyes with the beneficial three layers needed to keep your eyes in good shape. The first layer is the layer that is found on the whites of your eyes, which helps the second layer stay on. The second layer is there to wash away debris, and to moisturize. The third, and last layer is an oily layer, which is there to help keep the second layer from evaporating off of your eye.

The deprivation of blinking gives your eyes finite nourishment. Over time this really hurts your eyes, causing unnecessary strain to your eyes.

A few ways you can help is to make a conscience thought that you need to blink often and eventually it will become habit. Everyone can blink and still be uninterrupted from daily activity. Many people think that blinking to much will make it harder to concentrate. That statement is untrue. Another way to keep your eyes healthy is to close your eyes when you are just simply thinking, or doing any activity that doesn't require looking.

First Look At the Galaxy S6

Everyone loves Samsung, or at least most people do. When Samsung came out with the Galaxy S3, It was a huge jump in the mobile phone technology of it's day. Then came the Galaxy S4, now currently, the Galaxy S5. Each of these phones are remarkable pieces of technology, that set a high bar for other phone company's.

There is now news of a new galaxy that may be introduced to the family. Take a guess what it's name is! The Galaxy S6. All of the previous Galaxies have plastic shells which Samsung so frequently gets critisized for. The Galaxy S6 will be made with an aluminum casing, and the screen will be gorilla glass. There will be two phones coming out. the S6 edge which has a curve along the sides of the screen, used for displaying your recently used apps and whatnot. or the normal S6 which has a flat screen. There will be four colors to choose from for each; black, White, platinum gold, and topaz blue.

Like the iPhone, the speaker will now be placed on the bottom, next to the charging port. Unfortunately, the phone will not be waterproof like the S5 was.
"Samsung's Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge have been updated so that you have full control over how your screen looks if you have multiple programs open. It works like a desktop computer. You can easily re-size windows or dock them, like you can on the Note 4."
Multitasking will be unbelievably easy on the S6.

The camera will also be upgraded immensely. All you have to do to open the camera is to just tap the home button twice, and the camera will open. once it's open, you can be free to easily take all of the photos you want on the 16 megapixel back facing camera, or if you prefer to take a selfie, you may capture your face with the 5 megapixel front facing camera.

This will be an amazing upgrade to the Galaxy S5 and will pave the road to a much better version in the future.

Blue and Black, or White and Gold Dress Explained

http://www.wired.com/2015/02/science-one-agrees-color-dress/

What do you see when you look at this picture? Do you see a white, and gold colored dress; or a blue, and black dress? Many say its blue and black, but others say it's white and gold. Some say that they see both.

The dress in reality is black and blue, so why do people see white, and gold? “What’s happening here is your visual system is looking at this thing, and you’re trying to discount the chromatic bias of the daylight axis,” neuroscientist Bevil Conway told Wired‘s Adam Rogers. “So people either discount the blue side, in which case they end up seeing white and gold, or discount the gold side, in which case they end up with blue and black.”

Basically, some peoples brains work differently. Some brains will push the blue out and only see white, or the brain will have the ability to see the blue. The way the light in the picture is shown also plays tricks with your brain, there is a huge contrast between the blue and black and the white light int he background, resulting in some people not having the ability to see the full color of each the blue and black, and just see a more faded out color such as white and gold.

Another factor that could change how you see it is if the picture was modified in Photoshop or other programs. In the programs, people can make the picture exceptionally lighter, taking out the color, or make the picture darker, resulting in the colors being deeper, thus making it either harder to see the blue, or easier to see the blue.
